About This Opportunity

Gulf Coast Community Foundation has established a comprehensive scholarship program to assist students with demonstrated financial need who plan to continue their education in college or vocational-technical schools within the United States. The program is administered by Scholarship America and encompasses multiple individual scholarship funds with varying criteria. Applicants complete one unified application for consideration across all scholarship funds under the Gulf Coast Community Foundation umbrella. The program serves residents of Sarasota County, Charlotte County, DeSoto County, Boca Grande, or Lakewood Ranch in Florida, supporting students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate degrees, or vocational-technical training at accredited institutions. Financial need must be demonstrated for students to receive awards. The program includes funds selected by Scholarship America as well as funds selected by Gulf Coast Community Foundation and selection committees, covering diverse fields including healthcare, nursing, business, engineering, arts, and general education.
