Guy Stuart Phillips Memorial Award

The Guy Stuart Phillips Memorial Award is a scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in East Asian Studies at the University of Alberta. Established through endowed funds by friends and family of the late Guy Stuart Phillips, this award aims to encourage individuals not familiar with the culture, history, and languages of East Asia to pursue studies in these areas. The scholarship is awarded to students who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents with satisfactory academic standing, enrolled in the second or subsequent years of East Asian Studies. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated interest in East Asian culture, history, and language, with preference given to students with indicated financial need.
