H S Ragan Prize in Structural Engineering

The H S Ragan Prize in Structural Engineering is awarded annually to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident completing the fourth year of an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Alberta. The recipient must have satisfactory standing in the fourth year and will be selected on the basis of superior academic achievement obtained on the aggregate marks in the third and fourth year structural analysis and design courses. This prize is funded through endowed funds established by the friends and family of Mr H Stan Ragan. It recognizes outstanding academic performance specifically in structural engineering coursework during the third and fourth years of study. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship system. No separate application is required beyond the general scholarship application process.
