About This Opportunity

Hans Werthénfonden provides scholarships for young academics aged approximately 25-35 years to pursue scientific work at postdoctoral or doctoral level, or MBA/LL.M studies in a qualified international environment. The scholarships aim to enable young academics to develop in other countries and return with new knowledge and experiences that can benefit industry, business, or academia in Sweden. Since 1990, the foundation has distributed a total of 61 million kronor to 511 scholarship recipients. Applicants should have an academic degree, preferably at least at master's level but ideally a doctoral degree, preferably in the fields of technology/natural sciences or economics/law. Applicants should also have had some type of activity after their degree - preferably some years of research activity or developmental work experience from the business sector. The scholarship is for one year of scientific work or study in a qualified international environment.
