About this opportunity
The HAPpy Holiday Activity & Food Programme (HAF) provides grants to organizations to deliver free, fun and enriching activities with food during school holidays for children aged 4-16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. Supported by Hertfordshire County Council and coordinated by Herts Sports Partnership, this programme is part of the Department for Education's extended HAF initiative running for three more years. The programme funds delivery of holiday activities for reception to year 11 age children, and must include hot food, physical activity, and enrichment activities during key school holidays (Spring, Summer, and Winter, but not half-terms). Hertfordshire Community Foundation manages the application process and distributes funding to eligible organizations that can safely and effectively deliver these activities across Hertfordshire. The programme aims to support children from low-income families by providing nutritious meals and engaging activities during school breaks when they would normally receive free school meals.
