About this opportunity
The Harold Carroll Memorial Scholarship was introduced in 2003 and is managed by TPT Wealth Ltd, which administers the estate of the late Harold White Carroll. Harold Carroll was a grazier in Coleraine, Victoria, and upon his death in 1998, a fund was established to provide scholarships for deserving students from the Western District of Victoria to continue their studies. The scholarship provides $6,000 in financial support to assist with educational costs.
The scholarship is specifically designed for former pupils of primary or secondary schools in the Western District of Victoria. Strong preference is given to former pupils of Port Fairy Consolidated School, St Patrick's Primary School (Port Fairy), Balmoral High School, Balmoral Consolidated School, Coleraine Primary School, or St Joseph's School (Coleraine). This memorial scholarship honors Harold Carroll's legacy by supporting students from the region where he lived and worked.
The scholarship is available for students pursuing certificate, diploma, or bachelor-level studies in both higher education and TAFE pathways. It is open to domestic students who are new or commencing their studies at Federation University Australia, with campuses in Ballarat and Wimmera regions. Only one scholarship is awarded annually, making it a competitive opportunity for eligible students from the Western District.
