Harpur Trust University Bursary Programme

The Harpur Trust University Bursary Programme helps students from lower income families in Bedford Borough attend university and make the most of their academic potential. The programme provides financial support for students aged 19 or under who are looking to study full-time undergraduate or foundation degree courses. Eligible applicants must be from low income households or have additional financial difficulties, have been resident in Bedford Borough for at least 2 years, and be UK citizens, EU citizens with settled status, or have been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK. Applications are accepted from students attending participating schools and colleges identified by the Trust, including Bedford Academy, Bedford College, Bedford Sixth Form, Biddenham International Sports College, Mark Rutherford School, Sharnbrook Academy, St Thomas More Catholic Secondary School, Wixams Academy, and Kimberley College. The bursary is designed to support students in making university education more accessible despite financial barriers.
