Harris E. Phipps Chemistry Scholarship

The Harris E. Phipps Chemistry Scholarship is awarded to chemistry majors at Eastern Illinois University who demonstrate scholarship, responsible character, and sense of purpose with promise of distinguished service in the field of chemistry. Recipients must be declared majors in a program of studies offered through the Department of Chemistry and must be classified as a junior at the time of nomination and selection, except when fund income warrants multiple awards allowing other student classifications. Financial need is only a minor factor in selection. The award is announced in the spring and awarded in the fall semester.
