Harry H. Howarth Music Scholarship

The Harry H. Howarth Music Scholarship was established through the estate plan of Harry Howarth, Ph.D., known as 'Cork,' who was a psychology professor at The Ohio State University for many years. Cork had a deep passion for opera and classical music and was an accomplished cellist. The scholarship honors his legacy and commitment to music education. This scholarship is designed to support students at The Ohio State University who are pursuing degrees in music. The award recognizes students who demonstrate successful academic progress in their music studies. Special preference is given to students studying voice or cello, reflecting Cork's own musical interests and expertise. The scholarship provides financial assistance with a minimum award of $500 to help students continue their musical education and achieve their academic goals. Recipients must be enrolled full-time at Ohio State and show meaningful progress toward completing their music degree.
