Harry H. Howarth Science Scholarship

The Harry H. Howarth Science Scholarship honors Harry H. 'Cork' Howarth, who was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1931 and earned his PhD in psychology from The Ohio State University, where he taught as a professor of psychology for many years. Cork was passionate about travel, opera, classical music, and even played the cello. He passed away in 2017 at age 85. This scholarship supports students attending The Ohio State University full-time who demonstrate successful academic progress toward completing a degree in a science-related field. Preference is given to students studying psychology, reflecting Cork's lifelong dedication to the field. The scholarship provides a minimum award of $500 and is administered through The Ohio State University's scholarship office.
