About this opportunity
The Harry MacLauchlan Memorial Award in Mathematics is awarded to a student entering second, third, or fourth year of full-time study who demonstrates enthusiasm and aptitude for problem-solving, and/or is a student with a major or minor in math who assists other students through tutoring. This award was established in memory of Harry W. MacLauchlan of Stanhope, PEI. The original principal for this fund was derived from donations made to UPEI in Mr. MacLauchlan's memory following his untimely death in March 2002. In consultation with his family, the annual proceeds will be directed to deserving students in entrepreneurship and math, two areas of keen interest and ability of Harry MacLauchlan.
