About this opportunity
The Harry & Marjorie MacLauchlan Scholarships are awarded to two full-time UPEI students who are members of the UPEI hockey team. Preference is given to players from Prince Edward Island. The scholarship supports educational, athletic, and leadership development of young Islanders. If the student is entering first year, he/she must have an academic standing of 80% in high school. Players in second, third, and fourth years must have completed 18 semester-hours in their previous year with good standing. This scholarship was established at UPEI by Harry and Marjorie MacLauchlan of Stanhope, PEI, through their commitment to hard work and passion for enterprise. Through tireless volunteer and financial support, the MacLauchlan family has made a very special contribution to the Prince Edward Island community. This award is intended to enable and encourage the next generation, in turn, to make its contribution to Island life.
