About this opportunity
Harry's Fund is a bursary scheme for young people across Northamptonshire with neurodiverse conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD, to support their education and/or health and wellbeing. The fund was established by Harry's parents, Jessica Pilkington and David Chadwick, in partnership with Northamptonshire Community Foundation, made possible through the generosity of Harry's family and friends who raised funds in his memory after Harry died of cancer at the age of 19.
Northamptonshire-based young people aged between 11 and 21 who have a confirmed diagnosis of a neurodiverse condition can apply for an award of £100 to support their education and/or health and wellbeing. Bursaries of up to £250 will be considered where the request can demonstrate that it will make a profound difference to the individual's wellbeing.
Applicants must reside within Northamptonshire and have a confirmed diagnosis of a condition such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD or related neurodiverse condition, or be going through the referral process for a diagnosis. This needs to be evidenced with either a diagnosis letter or confirmation from the School SENCO or SEND department. The fund will not support contributions to an individual's tuition fees for Higher Education.
