Harvey Bains and Ben Kaak Doctoral Award

Two awards, each valued at $5,000, will be awarded annually to doctoral students registered full-time in Year Four or beyond in the School of Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo, with a preference for students in Year Five. The award is given based on demonstrated financial need as determined by the University of Waterloo. This fund is made possible by a donation from Harvey Bains and alumnus Ben Kaak (BA '82). The award may be given in addition to other funding the student may already be receiving, and recipients must maintain a minimum average of 78% in their PhD program.
