Haswell Moor Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund

The Haswell Moor Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund is administered by Point North (formerly County Durham Community Foundation) and funded by RWE to support local community groups, voluntary organisations and environmental projects in and around the Haswell Moor wind farm location in County Durham. The fund provides grants to improve public amenities such as community halls and sports facilities, support environmental and wildlife projects including improvements to open spaces, facilitate activities that engage the local community, and fund energy efficiency or renewable energy projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no deadline. The fund aims to make grant decisions within 12 weeks of receiving a completed application. Eligible areas include communities in and around Haswell including Easington Lane, Haswell, Haswell Plough, High Pittington, Littletown, Low Pittington, Ludworth, Cassop, Old Cassop, Shadforth, Sherburn Village, Sherburn Hill, Thornley, and Wheatley Hill.
