Hatch Structural/Geotechnical Engineering Scholarship

The Hatch Structural/Geotechnical Engineering Scholarship was established in 2022 and is maintained by an annual gift from Hatch. This scholarship supports domestic students enrolled full-time in engineering programs at the University of Queensland who are specializing in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering within the Civil Engineering Discipline. The scholarship provides financial support of $12,000 for one year to one outstanding student. Eligible students must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, or a dual engineering program and have completed between 12 and 52-76 units (depending on program). Selection is based on academic achievements, personal qualities including leadership potential and community service, and other factors relevant to future success in the engineering profession. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview.
