About This Opportunity

As part of Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week (2-6 Feb 2026), Rochdale Borough Council has funding available to support projects that help achieve the priorities of the GM Hate Crime Plan. Grants are available for events and activities during Hate Crime Awareness Week that contribute to achieving priorities such as improving education around hate crime, prevention and early intervention, bringing communities together to tackle hate crime, increasing communication and awareness of hate crime and its consequences, increasing confidence to report hate crime, and improving support for victims of hate crime. Applicants should aim to hold events and activities during the Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week (2nd-6th February 2026) that can become the catalyst for further conversations. The funding is specifically designed to support voluntary, community, faith or social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations working in the Rochdale area to promote awareness and tackle hate crime through community engagement and education activities.
