About this opportunity
The Hawkes Bay Farm Improvement Club Trust Scholarship provides financial support for second or third-year undergraduate students studying agriculture at Massey University who normally reside in the Hawkes Bay region. The scholarship was established from remaining funds when the Hawkes Bay Farm Improvement Club was dissolved. The club was originally set up in the 1970s where groups of farmers in central and southern Hawkes Bay paid annual subscriptions to help fund an advisor who worked with farmers to solve problems relating to farm improvement. The scholarship awards up to $3,000 annually for one year's duration to two recipients who demonstrate high academic achievement and a keen interest in agriculture. Applicants must be from the Central Hawkes Bay District Council, Dannevirke Community Board, or Woodville Districts' Vision areas. Recipients are selected based on their academic results and how the scholarship would benefit their studies.
