Hazelwood Gustafson Award

The Hazelwood Gustafson Award is a scholarship offered by Saskatchewan Polytechnic to support students pursuing studies that lead to journeyperson status in any apprenticeship program at the Prince Albert campus. The award provides $1,000 to one student annually. Selection is based on financial need (100% weighting), with preference given to students of self-declared Indigenous ancestry, which includes Metis, Status/Treaty Indian, Non-Status Indian, and Inuit. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the Saskatchewan Polytechnic scholarship portal. This award is designed to support apprenticeship students in their journey toward skilled trades certification, with particular attention to increasing access for Indigenous students who demonstrate financial need.
