About this opportunity
The He Oha Puiaki – Massey University Māori First Year Scholarship supports Māori students who are under the age of 21 and entering undergraduate study for the first time. This opportunity provides pastoral and academic support enabling recipients to thrive in their first year at Massey. The scholarship provides comprehensive support including direct financial payment to the recipient, support through the Scholars Massey programme, and a Massey University Gym Membership for one year. Recipients receive leadership development opportunities, internships, and tuakana-teina mentoring. The scholarship aims to support Māori students in their transition to university study and help them succeed in their first year of undergraduate education. Selection considers academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, resilience and impact, and contribution to Māori aspirations and initiatives.
