Head Family Women in Science Scholarship

The Head Family Women in Science Scholarship awards $1,000 to a graduating senior from Hidden Valley High School who demonstrates passion and dedication to the sciences. Created by Marybeth Head, an alumni of Hidden Valley High School and current Executive Officer of the NOAA Dive Center in Seattle, WA, this scholarship honors her late mother, Katie Head, who was a shining light of inspiration for anyone chasing their dreams. The scholarship seeks applicants who exhibit an aggressive work ethic, leadership potential, and a commitment to personal and academic development, with a particular focus on those who desire to make a change in the field of sciences. Applicants must complete the Redwood Local Scholarship Application and submit supplemental essay questions addressing their role model and their perspectives on modern science challenges and solutions.
