Head of College Prize for Exceptional Achievement (Medal)

An award offered at the discretion of the Head of College to recognise truly exceptional and outstanding achievement by a student or students registered for or recently graduated from any programmes offered by the College of Business and Law at University College Cork. Recognition may cover academic or non-academic activity. The Head of College consults with the Deans of the Schools in identifying potential recipients but may also include other students or recent graduates deemed appropriate for consideration. The award is considered in the context of the strategic objectives of the College in fostering exceptional academic achievement and/or exceptional contribution to society. There is no direct application process for this prize, as recipients are identified through consultation between the Head of College and the Deans. The Head of College makes a discretionary judgement on which student or recent graduate demonstrates the most exceptional and outstanding achievement, and reserves the right to not offer the award in any year.
