About this opportunity
Ethics summer studentships provide funding for students to research and explore ethical issues facing New Zealand by working on a project under the supervision of an experienced researcher or ethicist over 10 weeks during the summer holidays. HRC is the major government-funded agency responsible for purchasing and coordinating health research and fostering the health research workforce in Aotearoa New Zealand. There are two ethics summer studentship categories: the Ethics Summer Studentship focusing on general ethical issues associated with health, and the Dr Barry Poata Smith Ethics Summer Studentship focusing on health and research ethics issues related to Māori, Pacifica or under-represented communities. The program aims to promote and fund health research including biomedical, clinical, public health, health services, Māori and Pacific research while supporting career development in health research.
