About this opportunity
The Healthy Neighbourhood Fund provides grants for health and wellbeing related community activities in Brighton & Hove. The fund supports projects that benefit one or more Public Health priorities including increasing active living and physical activity, improving nutrition and reducing obesity, improving mental health and mental wellbeing, improving sexual health, reducing smoking and use of alcohol and drugs, reduction of loneliness and isolation, supporting healthy starts for children and young people, supporting healthy ageing, and improving community support and wellbeing for people near the end of life. The fund is administered by the Trust for Developing Communities and is available to groups in selected neighbourhoods across Brighton & Hove including North area (Bevendean, Hollingdean, Moulsecoomb & Bates Estate), East area (Craven Vale, Whitehawk & Manor Farm, Bristol Estate, Woodingdean), Central area (Pankhurst Area, Phoenix Estate, Tarner & Eastern Rd), and West area (Hangleton & Knoll, Portslade). There is also a citywide fund available for projects that meet the criteria and benefit people on low incomes in other parts of the city. The fund opens once a year with different deadlines depending on the area.
