About this opportunity
The Hebl Grant for Reducing Gender Inequities in the Workplace supports graduate students conducting gender-related research projects for a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation. The grant was created by Dr. Michelle "Mikki" Hebl, the Martha and Henry Malcolm Lovett Chair of Psychological Sciences at Rice University, who received the Sage Award for Scholarly Contributions from the Academy of Management for her lifetime research on gender and diversity in organizations. The research must focus on extending and broadening theoretical and empirical knowledge of gender-related issues, with preference given to projects that focus on reducing the inequities that women face within or in attempting to enter the workforce in the U.S. or globally. The grant supports a maximum award of $3,000 and is administered by the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Foundation. Recipients must deliver a final report within 2 years of the award and are encouraged to present their research at SIOP's annual conference.
