Helen A. Reid Scholarship

The Helen A. Reid Scholarship provides scholarship support for students enrolled in the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst who have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. The scholarship is available to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing nursing education. This fund was established by Dr. Patricia 'Pat' Reid Ponte, a 1976 undergraduate alumna of the Elaine Marieb College of Nursing at UMass Amherst. Pat established this fund to honor her mother's legacy, Helen A. (Weber) Reid, who served as a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital for many years. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship based on their completed General Application.
