About this opportunity
The Helen Bader School of Social Welfare (HBSSW) Applied Gerontology Field (AGF) Stipend is awarded to select students by the Office of Applied Gerontology for the purpose of inspiring outstanding graduate social work students towards a professional career in the field of gerontology. The AGF project aims to enhance the gerontological competencies of Master of Social Work students, with a focus on research, community engagement, and macro practice. The students selected for this initiative are expected to understand the origins and manifestations of ageism, as well as its impact on the environment and systems of care and social services. This stipend supports graduate students pursuing their Master of Social Work degree with a specialized focus on gerontology and working with older adult populations.
