About this opportunity
This scholarship provides financial support for youth who were in the foster care system for at least 12 months between the ages of 0-18 years and are pursuing post-secondary education. The program aims to support foster care youth, emancipated youth, those adopted at age 15 or older, or those participating in the Guardianship Assistance Program, Independent Living Arrangement, or similar programs. Applicants must be 30 or younger and demonstrate financial need while planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in the United States. This is a one-time award, but past recipients and applicants are encouraged to reapply each year through a competitive process. An individual may receive an award from this fund up to a maximum of four times while pursuing an undergraduate degree. Applications are reviewed based on academic performance, scholastic potential, and financial need.
