About this opportunity
Established in 2016, the Helen Quach Scholarship provides financial support to students studying conducting at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This scholarship was donated by Mr. Peter Quach to assist students in advancing their studies. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, portfolio and/or performance, and for postgraduate research applicants, on research achievements and potential. Eligible students are automatically considered for this scholarship as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, with no separate application required. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and vary depending on whether the recipient is a coursework or research student. For coursework students, annual payments are made in two equal installments after the census date of each semester. For postgraduate research students, the value is paid as a stipend on a fortnightly basis.
