Helen Riley Scholarship

The Helen Riley Scholarship is awarded to female students at Eastern Illinois University who participate in intercollegiate or intramural athletics. The scholarship recognizes female athletes of integrity with outstanding academic records and strong athletic performance. Recipients must be duly enrolled at EIU and demonstrate proof of participation in any intercollegiate or intramural athletics programs offered at the university. The recipient is evaluated on their overall records of performance in athletics, and financial need is not a consideration for this award. The award is announced in the spring and awarded in the fall semester.
