About This Opportunity

The Helena Kennedy Foundation Bursary is designed to support disadvantaged students in further education colleges who are progressing to higher education. The bursary provides up to £2,250 to help students transition from FE college to university level study. The Helena Kennedy Foundation promotes equality of opportunity, enabling disadvantaged FE students to realise their potential by supporting them through higher education into fulfilling careers. Applicants must be in their final year of studies at a publicly funded UK further education college, such as completing their Access, A-level, BTEC, or Scottish Highers course, and must be progressing to an undergraduate course at the University of Kent starting in September 2026. This bursary is specifically aimed at helping students who may face financial or other barriers in continuing their education beyond further education into university-level study.
