About this opportunity

The Heller Foundation Study Support Bursaries are study support bursaries for continuing undergraduate students who are enrolled in their second year of any undergraduate program at UniSC. These bursaries are made available through the generosity of the Heller Foundation to support ongoing students. Ten bursaries are offered each year, with three specifically designated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and seven open to all eligible students. The bursaries are valued at A$2,500 each and are paid in fortnightly instalments over Study Period 2. It is intended that recipients will be able to commit more time to their studies and engaging in university life, with less time in paid employment. Students working long hours during the semester period are particularly encouraged to apply. Selection is based on financial need, hours worked in paid employment or commitment to activities that impact on time available to study (such as compulsory fieldwork placement or significant carer responsibilities), and academic merit. Applicants must maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 and be enrolled as full-time or part-time second-year undergraduate students in any undergraduate degree program at any UniSC campus. Please note that this bursary is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor, and if funding is not available in any given year, the bursary will not be awarded.
