About This Opportunity

The Henderson Postgraduate Scholarship was established in 1992 to assist outstanding students studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney. This scholarship was donated by George Wallace Henderson and supports students enrolled in or starting a postgraduate degree at the Conservatorium. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, portfolio, and/or performance, with applicants potentially required to attend an interview. No application is necessary as eligible students will be considered for this scholarship as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to successful recipients. For coursework students, payments are made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester, while postgraduate research students receive the scholarship as a fortnightly stipend. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance and meet ongoing eligibility requirements throughout the scholarship tenure.
