Henriette Ann Schmidt Scholarship

The Henriette Ann Schmidt Scholarship provides financial support to academically outstanding graduate students in the Department of Art History & Visual Studies at the University of Victoria. The scholarship is specifically intended for students specializing in Indigenous arts, with preference given to those studying Pre-Columbian art. In cases where there are insufficient candidates meeting these criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to other academically outstanding undergraduate or graduate students within the Department of Art History & Visual Studies. Recipients are selected based on nominations from the department and approval by the Senate Committee on Awards or the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee. The award amount varies and no formal application is required, as students are nominated by their academic unit.
