About this opportunity
The Henry Bertie and Florence Mabel Gritton Medallist Award is a research scholarship in chemistry that promotes the knowledge and study of chemistry in relation to industry and agriculture. Established in 1957, the award is funded from the estates of Henry Bertie Gritton and his wife Florence Mabel Gritton. The scholarship supports chemistry connected with electrical engineering, metallurgical chemistry, and chemistry in its application to mining and the winning and treatment of minerals and natural products of the soil. This one-off award of $3,000 is available to University of Sydney Medallists who are enrolled full-time in a PhD at the University of Sydney and willing to undertake research in the area of chemistry. Recipients must be either a citizen of a Commonwealth country or a permanent resident of Australia.
