About this opportunity
The Henry Max Galbraith / East Wenatchee Grange No. 1012 Scholarship was established through the will of Henry M (Max) Galbraith, a fruit rancher in East Wenatchee and long-time member and Master of the East Wenatchee Grange. This scholarship specifically supports students from Douglas County, Washington who plan to study agriculture, agriculture-related fields (broadly interpreted to include agribusiness, veterinary science, etc.), or Allied Health at Wenatchee Valley College. The ideal recipient demonstrates a balanced combination of character, academic achievement, community involvement, college motivation, and financial need. The scholarship is available to both high school seniors entering Wenatchee Valley College and current first or second year students at WVC. Renewal is possible for recipients to continue their education at WVC or transfer to any other college or university in Washington State, though they must reapply and compete with new applicants each year.
