About this opportunity
The Herb Little Horsemanship Award was established in 2016 by Herb & Nita Little to support students pursuing education in animal science with a focus on equine studies. This award is available to students enrolled full-time in either the first or second year of the Animal Science Technology program at Lakeland College, with preference given to students in the equine science major. The award recognizes students who demonstrate academic achievement, display good work ethic and leadership skills, and are actively involved in the rodeo or ranch horse clubs. This $1,000 award supports students who exemplify excellence in horsemanship and agricultural sciences while demonstrating commitment to the equestrian community through extracurricular involvement.
