About This Opportunity
This award is provided by Dr. Marion F. Ehrich in memory of both of her parents and their love for rural life, as well as their shared belief that although the values born of growing up in a rural environment are advantageous, that many of these students have extra financial needs. The scholarship supports first or second year DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) students who have been reared in a rural area, graduated from a small public high school class (less than 90 students) and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship recognizes the unique challenges and advantages of students from rural backgrounds pursuing veterinary medicine education.
