Hertz Fellowship

The Hertz Fellowship is a prestigious graduate fellowship program offered by the Fannie & John Hertz Foundation to support the nation's most promising talent pursuing doctoral degrees in applied physical, biological, and engineering sciences. The fellowship awards up to five years of funding, valued at up to $250,000, to exceptional students who demonstrate outstanding potential for innovation and leadership in science and technology. In addition to financial support, Fellows receive dedicated mentorship throughout their fellowship and gain access to a diverse community of preeminent scientists spanning generations and disciplines including climate science, national security, computational neuroscience, and astrodynamics. The program features a rigorous multi-stage selection process including application review, preselection, and two rounds of interviews before finalists are selected.
