HFA Dean's Undergraduate Scholarship and Research Fund

This scholarship supports an undergraduate HFA student engaging in innovative humanistic research or creative inquiry during the summer. The purpose of this scholarship is to connect students and faculty in a relationship of mutual mentorship, advance students' knowledge and skills in their disciplines, and provide opportunities that will benefit students' future careers. Students are required to submit a one-page proposal outlining their project to take place over 4-6 weeks, identify expected outcomes, and explain how they will use the stipend. A faculty member must agree to support the research experience. Recipients are required to write a half-page reflection paper about their research or creative inquiry experience by September 2026.
