High School Scholarships

The Foundations of East Chicago provides scholarships to college-bound high school students who are residents of East Chicago. These scholarships support students pursuing both four-year college/university programs and two-year college/trade programs. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and exhibit qualities of high character and integrity. The program requires students to complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service and submit various documentation including proof of residency, high school transcripts, a personal essay, and a college acceptance letter. Recipients must be high school juniors graduating early or seniors on track to graduate with a high school diploma at the end of the current academic year. The scholarship provides financial support for East Chicago residents to pursue higher education and vocational training.
