About this opportunity

The Foundations of East Chicago High School Scholarships are provided to college-bound high school students who are residents of East Chicago and have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Students must exhibit qualities of high character and integrity. The scholarship supports students attending both 4-year colleges/universities and 2-year college/trade programs. Applicants must be residents of the City of East Chicago and provide two proofs of residency. They must be high school juniors graduating early or seniors on track to graduate with a high school diploma at the end of the current academic year. A minimum of 20 hours of community service is required, along with a personal essay and college acceptance letter. The program awards scholarships to students from various local high schools including East Chicago Central High School, Bishop Noll Institute, Hammond Academy of Science & Technology, and other area schools. Recipients may be asked to participate in a formal interview with the Scholarship Committee.
