High Sheriff Care Leaver and Estranged Student Fund

The High Sheriff Care Leaver and Estranged Student Fund makes individual awards to support employability for Care Leavers and Estranged Students graduating from the University of Northampton, to have a meaningful impact on an individual's future education, employment, aspirations and quality of life. The fund is administered by Northamptonshire Community Foundation, an independent grant-giving organisation that aims to improve the quality of life for people in the County by awarding grants to grassroots groups. The grant can support costs such as essential equipment (including laptops for specific purposes), travel costs, graduation ceremony costs, professional clothing for interviews or work purposes, and other essential costs related to employability and career development. Applications can be for up to £500 per student, with decisions typically made within six weeks of submission.
