Higher Education Childcare Fund

The Higher Education Childcare Fund is a non-repayable grant for full-time students at the University of the Highlands and Islands to assist in meeting the cost of childcare whilst they attend university. The funds are paid in addition to any other forms of student support and applicants are expected to take reasonable steps to maximise income and minimise expenditure whilst undertaking their course. Applications are processed and payments made at the individual academic partner. For part-time or postgraduate students, assistance for childcare costs will be considered from the Higher Education Discretionary (Hardship) Fund instead. Applications can only be made online via the HUB/Student Journey account and are available throughout the academic year with no specific deadline.
