Hilda Becher Modern Language Scholarship in Spanish

The Hilda Becher Modern Language Scholarship in Spanish supports Spanish minors and majors who will be participating in the Madrid Summer Study Abroad program. This scholarship is designed to assist students pursuing language immersion experiences abroad. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and must be accepted into or in the process of applying for the Madrid Summer Study Abroad program through the UWM Center for International Education. Applications are typically accepted in spring each year, during January and February. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievement, professional goals, extracurricular activities, and commitment to Spanish language study. This opportunity enables students to enhance their language skills through cultural immersion while receiving financial support to offset study abroad costs.
