About this opportunity

The Hill's Pet Nutrition Transforming Lives Award is granted to an Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) student completing their final year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program at the University of Prince Edward Island. The award recognizes students who have demonstrated compassion, charity, and a focus on the human-animal bond within the program and community. Selection is based on the greatest demonstrated commitment to the human-animal bond as evidenced through volunteer activities with community-based organizations such as local shelters; extracurricular activities focused on the human-animal bond; and/or exemplary focus on the human-animal bond through patient and client care. Hill's Pet Nutrition's mission is to help enrich and lengthen the special relationships between people and their pets through quality nutrition. The company has supported awards for AVC students for years, and in 2019, Hill's Pet Nutrition revised the criteria for its awards, resulting in a new cohort of AVC students receiving Hill's support.
