About this opportunity
The Hillsborough Rotary Club Nursing Award is awarded to the third-year Nursing student standing second-highest in academic achievement who has completed all the first- and second-semester core Nursing courses within one academic year. This award was established in honour of President Emeritus C. W. J. Eliot. The Rotary Club of Hillsborough established this nursing award at the University of Prince Edward Island to honour the outstanding contribution of UPEI President Emeritus CWJ Eliot and to fulfill the Rotarian mandate to support education. During President Eliot's tenure from 1985-1995, UPEI grew significantly to include the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The award recognizes academic excellence in nursing education and serves as a legacy to President Eliot's exemplary demonstration of the university motto: Faith, Service, Knowledge.
