About this opportunity
An award valued up to $6,000 will be awarded annually to a graduate student registered full-time in a Master's or Doctoral program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Students must be in good academic standing with demonstrated financial need as determined by the University of Waterloo. This award is specifically designed to support students who demonstrate cultural contributions to the Indian community. The fund was established by Professor Hira Ahuja, a Waterloo Engineering alumnus, to encourage students to pursue graduate studies. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and Ontario residents who have lived in Ontario for 12 months prior to beginning their post-secondary education. The award is available for the Fall term, with applications typically due in October, though extensions may be granted.
