About this opportunity

This grant supports the production of historical plays - local performances based on distant or recent history. The program aims to develop new plays and provide established plays with opportunities for continuity and increased quality. The play activity should strengthen cultural activity and local identity in the community while encouraging broad participation. Eligible projects must involve adult amateurs and volunteers, be rooted in local cultural life, have thematic connection to the performance location (through local history, myths, legends or literature), and be open to the general public with ticket sales. The plays can be performed both indoors and outdoors.
