Hjärnfondens forskningsbidrag 2026

Hjärnfonden provides research grants supporting qualified research on the brain and the rest of the nervous system, including diseases, injuries, and functional impairments throughout the entire nervous system. The funding program aims to increase research grants awarded and supports projects across the entire neuroscientific field, from basic experimental to clinical research. The grants range from 600,000 to 1,000,000 SEK per year for one, two, or three years. Research grants may also be awarded with special support from Team Rynkeby-God Morgon Skolloppet, in which case the research should focus on mental health in children and young people. There is also the possibility to receive funding from philanthropists who are part of Hjärnfonden's philanthropy program, which is applied for within the regular research grant application where applicants can consent to having their application presented to interested philanthropists.
