Hållbarhetspriset

Hållbarhetspriset (Sustainability Prize) is awarded by Ystad Municipality to encourage and support innovative and creative efforts that contribute to environmental, social, and/or economic sustainability. The prize serves to recognize exemplary initiatives that can serve as models for the present and future. Recipients can be individuals, associations, institutions, companies, or organizations that reside or operate in Ystad Municipality. Areas that can be awarded include efforts to promote good living environments and equal health, advance cooperation around children's rights, increase awareness and engagement for a sustainable society, improve management of materials and energy to achieve circular systems, and increase knowledge about and protect valuable natural and cultural environments. The prize consists of a diploma and monetary award of 10,000 SEK, awarded by the municipal executive committee at one of the municipal council meetings.
